I
Gentle slopes upward
Pulsing green layers, sod, clay
O weighted blankets
mold me to the mould, tucked in
On my way to fossilhood
II
Scattered up in piles
Cold scooped boulders, lichen brushed:
Clots of the Earth’s blood
only an angel could shift
welled up to protect the veins
III
Glass, undisturbed, luminous:
The lake crowning the mountain
Gold with silence, its
Snow white banks demonstrate
Difference in density, not matter
