Blue Snows / Azules nieves

Rapt in the snows of yesteryear,
I twist the threads of memory
and blue desire.
My small abode, its modest dwelling
disappearing in the icy hoarfrost,
shrouded deep in dreams
of white,
the thickets glistening their bleached tree branches
glowing blue and moon-filled silver.
The ice swivels zeniths of azure dreams
as I gingerly skip one iceberg to the next,
forgetting present
forgetting past
yearning in a wanderlust of reveries.
Blue everywhere –
blue skies, blue trees, blue snow… blue moon.
Blue home, my petite cottage, my smallest cabin,
my treasured icicles that glisten gold
that twinkle truth
that mirror musings of
snow-filled ruminations my mother dreamed.
And now have come for me.

Hechizada con las nieves de antaño,
serpenteo los hilos de memoria
y deseo azul.
Mi pequeña vivienda, su modesta estructura
desaparecida en la blanca helada,
envuelta en lo profundo de nevados sueños
blancos,
azules cielos, azules árboles, azules nieves… luna azul.
Hogar azul, mi pequeña casita, mi cabaña infanta,
mis preciados campos de hielo brillando oro
deslumbrando verdad
destallando reflexiones de
nevados empeños soñados por mi madre,
que ahora han vuelto por mí.
