I am, whispers
a deep loss
through bent tree branches.
Trembling leaves
murmur,
do you remember
the breeze
and water cascading
over rocks?
We are dry,
drying,
dried
I am waits for rainwater
to drench and purify,
to restore life
yet neither sleeping
nor awake
the woods and river
in quietude
contemplate
uncertainty
