Water connects, it can’t help
but do. The shortest reach
carries in its flow the dust
and moss, seed and rubble
bringing from me to you
the discontent that wraps
our roots before we realize
that nothing stays as certainty.
We also flow, we can choose
to send out tendrils, shoots
and tiny creeks, to explore
the constancy of passage.
Our messages branch out
sending their trickle wide
reaching roots of all variety,
diversity of every voice.
