Ripples from before light
came into the cosmos
undulate toward
an unreachable rim
The pulse of a stone spire
matches the gait
of the beating
of your heart
This feral forest slipped
from yoke of farm now
thick green and dark
Outside shines in
through shifting seams
Summoned by something softer
than sound swallows circle
assemble on power lines wait
for the moment
to begin
