All must be well with my world
for the tree frogs sing.
Soothe me to sweet slumber
with your chorus of thunder
in a world intent on bereft.
Piping a pause, such courage
amidst carnage, amidst the death
throes of doom. Recital winds down,
dwindling to meld into dark density of night.
Buzz, and alight to water’s edge,
unwavering, and true to key,
pitch perfect, naturally.
