the best part of all,
the last of the rain,
its gentle caress
along the glass.
droplets splitting
with your synapses.
silken pillows
of a superbloom,
soft against
your fevered cheeks.
hold your head
to the light,
to the white hot gold
through the trellises.
lay back. taste
the champagne grapes
bursting on
your tongue.
all the wine
evaporates,
an imprint
singed on your lips.
come, come
closer: embrace
the happiest ending
you can muster.
to melt
with each other, into
each other, hand
into hand.
