like a coil sprung with potential energy my heart is tender
collard greens & my head is under sea level the marsh is
so close & it’s warm enough now that the smell of the marsh
carries on the breeze the moon & the water suspend the
night between them & I suspend disbelief long enough to
astral project into the dark I wonder if love is like a plant
whose roots grow deeper with time are we meant to be
gardeners or astronauts is exploration or cultivation the
more important practice & also why is life a glamor on
our eyes are the stars playing tricks when they say life
is the pulsing inferno at the heart of a supernova &
is also the dark under the waves where the water gets deep
