whatever the scientific law is
the one that says an observer
changes what is being observed
by the simple act of observation
that is just another way to say
we are all one;
when I see you, whether you
see me back or not, you become
different through my observation
as I begin to spool out a new
narrative for you based on my life
experience;
underneath the stars, under
the canopy of trees, the alchemy
of our mutual presence creates
a world, a blessing, that we
each carry then gift again
and again wherever we look.

Suzanne Beaumont tells stories through poetry and prose. She writes to know herself and to explore the world around her. Suzanne holds the profound belief that everyone has a unique story to tell. She feels that even if we cannot know how our particular contribution fits, it is important to keep going, keep offering, keep listening, because we cannot know if our one note completes the chorus chord that unlocks heaven.
