despite amnesiac birds
flitting like broken twigs
at twilight & sunrise.
The poet inhales the green motor
in breezes from a safe distance.
Spring is a minor;
it pranks, made-up,
start over.
Today we get to be Incas,
sacrificing humans to the goods.
It feels like it’s not ok to complain anymore.
