Sunlight Glows Through the Tea Tree Leaves Outside My Window

Location

One day, the wren sat on the feeder
eating seed, grain by grain.
The cat sat alert on the sill.
The wren, unaware, ate in peace.

Yesterday, the wren sat on the feeder
gulping seed by the beakful.
The cat stood alert on the sill.
The wren, unaware, ate in peace.

Today, the wren sat on the feeder;
the seed spilled over the side.
The cat raised its paw against the pane.
The wren, startled, flew away.
