these streets of night
subcultures to
universes
neighbors hoods
we share
roads
the freeways
the air water and planets with
so please let’s get together
and share the earth
with respect
to all of our divine planets
and ancestors
we are all here together
right now
so lets
make it nice for everyone
including the dirt
the earth
the alcoholics
drunks and addicts
the lost souls
the animals
here we are all together
oh, these streets!
It’s a jungle
covered with concrete
here in city street central
small town streets
country roads
county lines
our streets
connecting us
through asphalt black tar yellow lines
time to take back the streets!
get out there and walk!
skate run skip bike hike jog
just get out there
hit those streets
your taxes paid for it
take it back!
scream in it
run
claim it
take it
speak it
these streets are ours
we paved and paid for them
we are responsible
for our time here
in these streets
of dreams
and real things
leading to beaches
trees rivers mountains
highways to streets
freeways to sacred
lands
