ooh ah oo
petrel
wings break cloud
celestial navigators’
greeting screeches
float hauntingly
across oceans
seafarers return to
unions made
squid stench slickens
entrances of
lava rock burrows
chilled in setting sun
darkness settles
dormant volcano
Haleakalā
house of the sun
awakens
