Weatherman Dan

Staff touches up my makeup, right before we go live.
Vaguely pointing at the blue screen: pressure low, but ratings high!
I map the fronts in motion, so you think you understand.
I banter with the anchor, joke about her picnic plans. Your forecast calls for thunderstorm:
Sky is dark for miles,
I’m Weatherman Dan
And Weatherman Dan smiles…

With today’s kind of climate, wish I could ignore the trend.
Record heat, drought, and flooding, graphs have a freaky end!
Your forecast calls for superstorm:
Hot and cold won’t reconcile,
As Weatherman Dan,
I turn up my hands and smile…

Half the map displayin’
Fire ragin’
And fault lines mark the land.
Glaciers goin’,
Beach erodin’:
Visit Venice while you can,
Take it from Dan!

Forecast calls for 20 storms,
All Category 5! With sunburned hands,
We’ll fill up our vans and drive….
